Chapter 06: Multi-Language & Security Settings
Customize BahiKhata to match your regional language and protect your shop accounts with an app lock.
🌐 1. Changing App Language#
BahiKhata speaks your mother tongue:
- Tap Settings ⚙️ > Language (भाषा).
- Select your language:
- हिंदी (Hindi)
- English
- বাংলা (Bengali)
- ગુજરાતી (Gujarati)
- मराठी (Marathi)
- ਪੰਜਾਬੀ (Punjabi)
- தமிழ் (Tamil)
- తెలుగు (Telugu)
- ಕನ್ನಡ (Kannada)
- മലയാളം (Malayalam)
- ଓଡ଼ିଆ (Odia)
- Tap Apply — the entire app interface, buttons, and PDF reports instantly switch to your selected language.
🔐 2. Setting App PIN / Fingerprint Lock#
Prevent unauthorized staff, family members, or strangers from viewing your business profits and customer khata:
- Go to Settings ⚙️ > Security & App Lock.
- Toggle on "Enable App Lock".
- Set a 4-digit secret PIN or enable biometric Fingerprint unlock.
- Now, every time the app opens, it will ask for your PIN.
🏷️ 3. Customizing Currency & Business Profile#
- Edit Business Profile: Update your Shop Name, GSTIN (optional), Phone number, and Shop Address.
- Currency Format: Standard Indian numbering format (e.g.
₹ 1,50,000.00).
