Chapter 03: WhatsApp Reminders & Payment Receipts

💬 1. Sending 1-Tap WhatsApp Payment Reminders#

1. Open the specific Customer's ledger page.
2. Tap the green "WhatsApp Reminder" button at the top.
3. BahiKhata will automatically draft a polite message in your chosen language:

   "Namaste [Customer Name], your total pending balance at [Your Shop Name] is ₹1,450 as of [Date]. Please clear the dues at your convenience. Thank you!"

4. WhatsApp will open with the customer selected. Simply tap Send!

🧾 2. Sharing Instant Payment Receipts#

Whenever a customer makes a partial or full payment:

1. Tap "Share Receipt" immediately after saving the payment entry.
2. You can send a text receipt or an attached image/PDF voucher directly to their WhatsApp or SMS.
3. This creates 100% trust and eliminates disputes regarding payment dates and amounts.

🔗 3. Attaching UPI QR Codes / Payment Links#

• You can configure your Shop's UPI ID (e.g. yourshop@okhdfcbank or merchant@upi) inside Settings.
• When sending a reminder, BahiKhata automatically includes your UPI QR link so customers can tap and pay you directly via Google Pay, PhonePe, or Paytm!
