Chapter 01: Daily Dashboard & Morning Routine

The Dashboard is the first screen you see when you log into BahiKhata Green. Think of it as your digital morning chalkboard where all your shop's important numbers are clearly visible in real-time.

📊 1. Understanding the Key Numbers (Cards at the Top)#

At the top of the screen, you will see 4 main summary cards that update automatically as you make sales and collect payments throughout the day.

Card 1: Today's Sale / कुल बिक्री 🛍️#

Big Number: The total value of all vegetable sales made today (both Cash + Udhar).
Bills Count: How many customer bills/tokens you have made today.
Cash Portion: How much money from today's sales was paid in cash immediately.

Card 2: Cash In / कुल वसूली 💵#

Big Number: Total cash received into your shop counter today.
What it includes:
- Cash received from today's new sales.
- Cash collected from past customer udhar (old dues paid today).
- UPI / Online transfers received today.

Card 3: Today's Purchases / कुल खरीद 🚚#

Big Number: Total value of vegetable lots/trucks received today from farmers and wholesale suppliers.
Lots Count: How many purchase slips/invoices you entered today.
Cash Paid: How much cash you paid to suppliers right at the time of delivery.

Card 4: Cash Out / कुल भुगतान 💸#

Big Number: Total cash that left your shop register today.
What it includes:
- Cash paid for new vegetable lots.
- Payments made to old suppliers.
- Daily shop expenses (Labor, Tea/Snacks, Mandi tax, Fuel, etc.).

⚡ 2. Quick Action Buttons#

Right below or on the top banner of the Dashboard, you have quick shortcut buttons to start your work instantly without clicking through menus:

🟢 New Sale (नयी बिक्री): Takes you directly to the Quick Sale billing screen.
🛒 New Purchase (नयी खरीद): Opens the purchase entry screen to record incoming vegetable lots.
👥 Add Customer (नया ग्राहक): Quick shortcut to add a new retailer or hotel buyer.
🚚 Add Supplier (नया सप्लायर/किसान): Quick shortcut to add a new vegetable farmer or supplier.

🔄 3. Switching Mandi Branches / Shops (मंडी दुकान / गाला बदलना)#

If you own more than one shop in the mandi (for example: Gaala #12 Potato/Onion and Gaala #45 Green Vegetables), you can switch between them with one click:

Tap the Branch Name Pill at the top of the left menu (on mobile, tap the shop name in the top bar).
A list of your registered shops will appear.
Tap on the shop you want to manage.
The dashboard, stock, sales, and khata will instantly switch to that shop's data!

⏱️ 4. The Refresh Button (ताज़ा करें)#

At the top right of the dashboard banner, you will find the Refresh Button 🔄:

When is it used? If your cashier makes a sale on another phone, or if you were offline for a few minutes, tap this button.
It pulls the latest live data from the server so your screen is 100% up to date.

📋 5. Recent Activity Feed (हाल की बिक्री और खरीद)#

Below the summary cards, you will see two live lists:

Recent Sales (हाल की बिक्री): Shows the last few customer bills with the customer's name, bill amount, payment status (🟢 Paid, 🟡 Partial, 🔴 Due), and a one-click button to view or re-share on WhatsApp.
Recent Purchases (हाल की खरीद): Shows the latest vegetable lots entered, supplier name, quantity, and total bill.

🌅 6. The 5-Minute Morning Mandi Routine#

To keep your business accurate and stress-free every day, we recommend this simple morning routine:

Step 1: Open the app and verify that your branch name is correct.
Step 2: Check your Stock (स्टॉक) tab to see yesterday's leftover vegetables.
Step 3: Record all morning arrivals in Purchase (खरीद) as trucks and pickups unload.
Step 4: Open Quick Sale (बिक्री) and start fast billing for wholesale and retail buyers.
Step 5: During afternoon breakdown, check the Dashboard Cash In vs your physical drawer cash to verify that everything matches!

❓ Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)#

Q1: Why does my Cash In not equal my Total Sales?

Total Sales includes both Cash and Udhar (Credit) sales. Cash In only counts actual cash and UPI money that physically entered your register today (including old udhar collected today).

Q2: Can my cashiers see the total profit on the dashboard?

No. By default, staff and cashiers only see sales and collection counters. Sensitive profit reports are only visible to the shop owner or authorized managers.

Q3: Does the dashboard reset every midnight?

Yes! Every morning at 12:00 AM (midnight), the daily sales and daily purchase counters reset to ₹0 for the fresh day. Your overall customer balances, supplier balances, and stock remain safely preserved.
